Happy New Year to you all – we hope you had a wonderful festive season!
It’ll soon be what I like to call ‘Love Season’ – Valentine’s Day….Mother’s Day…Father’s Day (a long way off)….not to mention all the Weddings coming up and Easter – which I like to think is also under the Love umbrella as I adore Spring and Ostara ….the warmer, longer…sunnier days….. (ok, ok back to the point…) there will of course be our Easter range later on in the year to cover that….
This year, our Valentine’s (love season) range focuses on GIN! You asked – we listened!
Working with our friends at Moonshine & Fuggles – we are creating two gin based chocolate truffles in heart shapes (of course!)
The first one uses the Moonshine & Fuggles Ironbridge Dry Gin. This won a BRONZE MEDAL from the IWSC. A big juniper hit with plenty of botanical flavour – lemon, yuzu, thyme, red grapefruit, coriander and tellicherry pepper, make for a long lasting and incredibly smooth and moorish dry gin. Donations from this batch are given to the Ironbridge Coracle Trust.
The second uses the Moonshine & Fuggles Broseley Pink Gin. This also won a BRONZE MEDAL FROM THE IWSC. A smooth dry gin bursting with fresh ripe berries and subtle floral notes. Blackberries and raspberries give way to sweet strawberry and elderflower finishing with subtle green apple and rose. Donations from each batch are made to the Lingen Davies Cancer Charity in Shrewsbury.
